Traveling to Titanyen, Haiti on a short term mission trip was a desire that my 11 year old daughter had after hearing a testimony at her school. After much prayer we decided to go. My daughter and I had our eyes opened to so many things, but what stood out the most was how amazing it was to see how the missionary families had immersed their whole lives around God. Working hand in hand with the Haitians truly changed us forever. The following year we felt the Lord was leading us to go back to Haiti, this time with our entire family. Again, God opened our eyes to the amazing things He is doing there and has increased our compassion to reach others with the Word. The bonds we made with other families on our trips made a huge impact on us as well. If you are considering going on a short term mission trip to Haiti, I encourage you to stop the excuses and forget the fears and go!
